Indiana Men's Tennis to Open Big Ten Tournament Against Oregon

The matchup will be the second meeting between the Hoosiers and the Ducks this season. No. 45 Oregon defeated No. 60 Indiana 4-3 in Eugene, Ore., on March 13.
This time around, the Hoosiers come into the match ranked No. 66, while the Ducks are No. 56. In singles, Indiana's Sam Landau is the only player ranked on either team entering the match, coming in at No. 77.
In doubles, Indiana returns four teams to the ITA rankings: Michael Andre and Matteo Antonescu are ranked No. 33 with a 12-3 dual record (18-6 overall); Sam Landau and Jip van Assendelft are ranked No. 44 with a 4-2 record in dual matches; right behind them at No. 45 are Landau and Braeden Gelletich, who have an 8-1 dual record with all matches taking place in conference play; and Landau and Facundo Yunis are ranked No. 79 with a 6-4 overall record. Oregon has one ranked doubles team, with Pierre Mouesca and Matthew Burton ranking at No. 64.
Should Indiana advance, the Hoosiers will face No. 1 seed Michigan State on Thursday, April 23, at 1 p.m. ET. Indiana fell to Michigan State 4-3 in East Lansing, Mich., on Friday, April 17. The semifinals are scheduled for Friday, April 24, at 3 p.m. ET, with the championship set for Saturday, April 25, at 8 p.m. ET.The Big Ten Tournament will be held at Libbey Park in Ojai, Calif. The field features the top 10 finishing teams in the Big Ten.
