![]() Dennis Adama - Men's Track and Field, 1972-74 A four-year letterwinner for the Hoosiers, Adama was an indoor All-American in 1972 and 1973 and an outdoor All-American in 1973 and 1974. A three-time Big Ten indoor and outdoor high jump champion, Adama still owns the outdoor school record (2.21m/7-3) and the fourth-best indoor jump (2.18m/7-1.75) in school history. He closed his collegiate career with a third place finish at the 1974 NCAA indoor meet and a second place finish at the national outdoor meet. Upon graduation, he held the Big Ten meet record and all IU high jump records. Overall, he cleared seven feet or taller 20 times in his college career. Adama currently lives in Grand Rapids, Mich. with his wife, Barbara. They have four children, and he owns Compliance Systems, a company that makes computer software for the financial industry. He looks forward to his return to Bloomington. |
![]() Amy Unterbrink-Poljan - Softball, 1983-86 One of the most dominant pitchers in IU and Big Ten Conference history, Unterbrink-Poljan was a three-time all-league honoree and closed her career with first team All-American laurels in 1986. The single-season (26) and career (61) shutout leader in school history, Unterbrink-Poljan also owns Indiana's single-season (0.40-1986) and career (0.53) ERA standards. She posted the top six single-game strikeout marks in school history, highlighted by a 19 strikeout effort against Texas on March 17, 1986. Indiana?s 1986 Female Athlete of the Year set the Big Ten single-season ERA record at 0.21. Unterbrink-Poljan lives in Owosso, Mich., with her husband, Richard and their six children. She calls the induction a significant individual and team moment. |
![]() Tom Stock - Men's Swimming and Diving, 1962-64 Stock was a six-time All-American in the backstroke from 1962-64. From 1960-62, Stock won seven outdoor Amateur Athletic Union titles in the backstroke and medley relay, and he won the backstroke and medley relays at the 1962 AAU indoor meet. Stock lives in Hinsdale, Ill. where he and his wife, Ann, have two grown children. He and fellow former Indiana swimmer Gary Verhoeven are co-owners in Northern Indiana-based BVD Steel Hauling Company. |
