Made an instant impact, starting all 20 games of her debut season in the back line and the wide midfield … tallied one goal and one assist on five shots, placing 3-of-five attempts on frame … fired a shot in a tight neutral sight game against Wake Forest (9/4) … took two shots and aided the defense to a shutout win over UC Davis (9/5) … helped earn back-to-back shutouts in the next game versus Missouri State (9/9) … tabbed an assist to Taylor Pearson against Rutgers (9/23), breaking a tie in the Hoosiers’ first Big Ten win … scored her first career goal on her only shot attempt versus Iowa (9/30), forcing overtime … attempted one shot in the home finale against Ohio State (10/21) … made her postseason debut in the Big Ten Tournament against Penn State (11/3).
Prep/Personal: Played four seasons under head coach Erik Enters at Perkiomen Valley High School … a two-time PAHSFHCA All-State First Team selection and a two-time Pac-10 First Team All-Conference honoree … earned three appearances on the Pottstown Mercury All-Area squad … landed on the Times Herald All-Area first team in 2013 … scored 61 goals with 38 assists in her prep career, including 28 goals and 14 assists in her senior season … earned three selections to the Futures Elite and Junior Olympic squads, along with two Junior National Camp invitations … Vikings won the Pac-10 Championship in 2014 and reached the district playoffs in all four of Giese’s seasons … played club hockey for True North and the WC Eagles … won eight gold medals in all eight tournament entries, including the National Club Championship, the NIT, and the Disney Showcase … born January 26, 1998 ... the daughter of Robin and Mario Giese … has one sister, Chandler, who played field hockey at the University of New Hampshire … majoring in Special Education.
