Carly Hamann joined the IU Sports Medicine team as an assistant athletic trainer in the fall of 2019 working with the track and field team.
Carly earned her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Tulsa in 2016. In 2018, she earned her master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with focuses in kinesiology, psychology, and higher education from Iowa State University. While at Iowa State, Carly worked as a graduate assistant with the track and field team and spirit squads. From 2018-2019, Carly worked with the track and field team as the primary athletic trainer with the University of Texas at Arlington’s cross-country and track and field teams.
Carly became a certified athletic trainer in 2016 and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. Her certifications include Graston M1, Myo-Matrix Release of Lower Extremity, Dry Needling, and American Heart Association BLS Provider.
