Grace Lindberg begins her fifth season on Indiana head rowing coach Steve Peterson’s staff in 2025. Lindberg was elevated to associate head coach during the fall of 2023.
"Grace has been an integral part of getting our team back to the NCAA Championships," Peterson said when the promotion was announced. "Without her efforts, we would not have seen those improvements, and, because of that, it felt natural to elevate her to the position of associate head coach."
Indiana made a second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championships in 2024, its eighth in 10 seasons. Lindberg coached the Second Varsity Eight crew that finished No. 16 nationally and third at the Big Ten Championships, helping IU earn a program record second-place conference finish.
In 2023, Lindberg helped IU return to the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2019 and seventh time in nine full seasons. Her Second Varsity Eight crew finished fourth at the Big Ten Championships before earning a 16th-place finish at the national regatta.
In her second season at IU in 2022, Lindberg led the Varsity Four crews. Each of her two boats finished in top-five positions at the Big Ten Championships as Indiana placed fourth on the team. Lindberg had a successful first year working with the novice rowers. Under her leadership, the N8 boat raced to a third-place finish at the Big Ten Championships in Indianapolis.
Lindberg arrived at Indiana after a year-long stint as the volunteer assistant coach at Ohio State. A native of Yulee, Fla., she rowed for four years at UCF where she was a two-time AAC All-Conference Team selection and the program's Novice of the Year in 2015-16. In addition, she excelled in the classroom and earned a place on the AAC All-Academic Team for four-straight years, Rowing Collegiate Coaching Association Honors (2017-19).
She graduated from UCF in May 2019 with a degree in sport and exercise science.
