SOPHOMORE SEASON (2012-13)
Started seven duals, including five Big Ten bouts ... went 2-0 at the SIUE Duals, pinning back-to-back opponents ... also competed at the Midlands and Big Ten Championships ... an Academic All-Big Ten selection.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2011-12)
Concluded the regular season by winning three of his final four bouts, including a pin of VMI's Jon Jones ... earned six Big Ten starts and represented IU at the conference championships (165 lbs.) ... opened his season with a major decision en route to placing sixth at the Eastern Michigan Open ... won four of five matches at the EMU Open before withdrawing due to injury ... returned to make a total of 10 starts and post an overall record of 8-12 ... an Academic All-Big Ten selection.
REDSHIRT SEASON (2010-11)
Opened his career by winning the Freshman/Sophomore Division of the EMU Open, winning five consecutive matches ... followed by taking three of five bouts to finish fourth in the Greyhound Open ... completed the season at 10-3 overall with a pin and three major decisions.
PREP/PERSONAL
Three-time New Jersey state placer, finishing second in 2010, fifth in 2009 and fourth in 2008 ... won the regional championship in each of his four seasons ... posted an overall high school record of 149-14 ... advanced to the Fargo National finals twice, taking second place in both the '07 Freestyle and '08 Greco-Roman ... also played four years of football ... the son of Ed and Val Keiffer ... born on Apr. 4, 1992 ... majoring in Exercise Science.
