From the moment Bob and Kris Jarosinski stepped on the campus of Indiana University their lives were forever changed. For the former Student Athletic Board member and Hoosier cheerleader their degrees and relationships obtained at IU will stand the test of time. Bob, Kris and their three sons are committed to being some of IU Athletics' biggest supporters now, and well into the future.
Both Bob and Kris graduated from Indiana in 1992 with bachelor's degrees in education. Bob, now a marketing manager at Roche Diagnostics, Kris and their three children, Dustin (7), Brady (4) and Carter (1) reside in Fishers, Ind., and have enthusiastically remained loyal Hoosier supporters.
"We enjoy attending all the home football and basketball games and have turned football Saturday into a family event," Bob said. "There is nothing better than watching our three sons running around in their IU jerseys in the grass just south of Memorial Stadium, knowing that this is something we will be able to do as a family for many years to come."
Along with cheering on the Hoosiers whenever possible, the Jarosinskis have chosen to make an investment in the athletics program through life-long support of the IU Varsity Club to ensure the current and future success of Indiana Athletics.
"Kris and I recognize the important role that athletics play in the overall college experience for those who participate as well as for those who simply enjoy the bond created by individuals coming together to support a team or school," Bob said. "Kris and I both truly enjoyed our time on campus as students and still enjoy returning on game day. Athletics is what brings us back and without the education and life experiences that we received at Indiana University in Bloomington, our family would not be in the position we are at today. A position that allows our family to live a comfortable life and to enjoy all that the University has to offer. IU Athletics keeps us involved in the university and allows us a way to give back to an institution that has done so much for us."
Indiana University, in particular its athletics programs, have a permanent place in the Jarosinskis' family.
"I believe that ones' relationship to their University is a little bit like a marriage, you invest a lot of time, energy and resources with someone knowing that you will receive a lifetime of enjoyment and experiences in return," Bob said. "I remember upon graduation living up in Northwest Indiana and for nine straight seasons Kris and I drove seven hours round trip to watch every home Indiana football game. In good times and in bad, a true fan never stops supporting their team. We look forward to our continued support of the Hoosiers and to many more great memories. To us, IU represents a great school, great sports, great people and great memories for the whole family in the past, present and future."
