Indiana vs. Ohio State

Opening Statement:
TH: "It's been a long time since I have been on the receiving end of a game like that. Ohio State is a great football team and they played a great game. We were very ineffective on offense. When the score was 17-10 in the third quarter, I felt like we let the game get away. We needed to make a stop there and get the ball back, but we couldn't. We never really got the running game or the passing game going. Defensively we played well at times, but you can't give up a punt return for a touchdown or an interception return for a touchdown. We are going to regroup and get ready to go to Michigan State."
On the "redo" of the second half opening kickoff:
TH: "It was the second inadvertent whistle of the day. They said the first one was on Troy Grosfield's fumble, but nobody could figure out who blew the whistle. On the second one, the play is over and I think it is called a "do-over." We had the ball but we didn't get it. We didn't play very well or get any breaks. Good teams that play well get breaks."
On what Ohio State did to shut down James Hardy:
TH: "Number one, they are good players. Number two, they rolled the coverage to his area and really played him tough not giving him any room. They didn't blitz as much as I thought they would. They were able to get pressure on us with a four and sometimes three-man rush. I told James that they paid him the ultimate compliment by paying so much attention to him. It was a strategy and a tactic that worked well for them today."
On the way the team responded to a close game slipping away:
TH:"I think our team, and our program still have a long way to go. At that point (closing the score to 17-10), home-field advantage needs to kick in. I am not pointing any fingers, but we didn't make plays to create an atmosphere we needed to create. We have a long way to go in both areas and the Buckeyes don't come back here for a long time. When they do, it needs to be a completely different atmosphere. We have made some improvements, but it didn't show on the field today."
