Opening Statement:
"It's good to go on the road and get a win. We sure tried to make it interesting with our penalties and allowance of things to happen in the special teams like that kickoff return. I thought the kids played hard. I thought our defensive staff did a great job of preparing and did a good job of disguising what they were doing and played the run well. Obviously, shut the run down. Then, it became a little guessing game for them in their pass game. I thought our defensive staff and players did a good job there. We had a chance to get a hold of the game early and didn't with that interception down there. Indiana is a tough bunch and Terry is going to have them playing hard through the whole game. We knew that coming in, but I though our guys did a pretty good job."
On Brandon Mitchell interception:
"You know that was probably the back breaker, because that made it thirty-one. Twenty-four to ten is a two-score game. There is always pretty good hope there even if you haven't been moving the ball. Thirty-one to ten and you haven't been moving it, that probably took a little steam out of them."
On Ted Ginn Jr.'s play:
"I felt so bad that his kickoff return got called back. I don't know the last time we've had a kickoff return. I think it was September of 1997 or something, since we've had a kickoff return for a touchdown. I hated to see that brought back, but it was good to see him bring the punt back for a touchdown and you could see he was happy."
On the Ohio State offense:
"I thought we did a fairly good job running it. Especially with the number of people they like to bring into the box and wire up on your wide-outs and so forth. We'll have to see as we watch the film. I thought we did a fairly good job blocking them. They played against the run pretty well in some of their other games, especially if you were in two back. I think some of our good running was out of one back. It was a good balance. I'm sure we are going to find a whole lot though that we were better at. We know that this was probably not a good enough performance to win up at the Metrodome."
