Q: What made you choose Indiana University?
A: I chose IU because of the beautiful campus, the huge amount of resources the university offers, and the chance to play field hockey for the Hoosiers.
Q: What do you find most attractive about Indiana University?
A: I really enjoyed how welcoming everyone was when I first came to visit. The campus is incredible, the facilities available to both students and student-athletes are second to none, but really I just felt very at home at IU, right off the bat.
Q: How would you interpret the Spirit of Indiana?
A: To me, the Spirit of Indiana is the incredible community built around all of the school's athletic teams, not just football or basketball. It's the fact that all student-athletes are supported and represented so well and so thoroughly.
Q: What does it mean to you to wear the cream and crimson, and represent Indiana University when you play?
A: To me, wearing the cream and crimson means that I'm a part of something bigger than myself. I take pride in the fact that I am able to represent my university above and beyond what is typical for a college student. It's a huge privilege to call myself a Hoosier.
Q: Are you involved with anything else on campus?
A: Unfortunately, with our busy schedules, getting involved with clubs and other organizations can sometimes be too much of a time crunch, but through IU athletics I've been able to get involved and help volunteer for many wonderful organizations and benefits, including the Boys and Girls Club, Camp Riley, and Girls Inc. of Bloomington
Q: Do you have any special talents?
A: I love to cook, I can play the guitar, and I'm a fantastic scrabble player.
Q: As a scholarship athlete, how do you feel you benefit most by the aid you receive from our Varsity Club donors?
A: Because of the aid I receive from our donors, I am able to use the best facilities in the country. Not only from an athletic standpoint, but an academic one as well. The aid I've received has made it possible for me to attend this university and experience all that it has to offer.
Q: If you had the opportunity to meet the donor that provided your scholarship, what you like to say to them?
A: I would tell them that they've given me an opportunity to live out my dream, and the experience of being a student-athlete at IU has made me into a person I am very proud to be. I am grateful beyond words!
