YPSILANTI, Mich. - Five Hoosier wrestlers earn podium spots at this weekends Eastern Michigan Open. Freshman Bryce Martin went 5-0 to bring home the 165 pound championship.
Fellow freshmen Jake Danishek (157) and Fletcher Miller (HWT) finished the day in 2nd and 5th, respectively. Danishek was 4-1 on the day losing a close championship bout on a 6-5 decision. After losing his second match, Miller won out in the consolation bracket to earn 5th with a 3-1 record. Sophomore Wyatt Wilson (174) was 4-1 and after losing in the semifinals won the 3rd place bout to earn the Hooisers a third top three placers.
Other multiple match winners were Sean Brown (141, 2-2), Cole Weaver (149, 3-2) and Jake Masengale (184, 4-2).
