Q: What made you choose Indiana University?
A: I knew I wanted to play in the Big Ten and was instantly drawn to Bloomington because it was a good distance from home and how beautiful the campus is. After meeting with the coaching staff and the girls on the team, I knew IU was the place for me.
Q: What do you find most attractive about Indiana University?
A: The most attractive things about IU are all of the athletic benefits, including facilities like the Wilkinson Performance Center and Shuel Academic Center. Also, the sense of community that goes along with 24 Sports, One Team.
Q: What was the biggest adjustment for you when coming to Indiana University?
A: The biggest adjustment for me when I came to Indiana was just getting accustomed to the grind, but only took a semester for me to be able to understand the system of being a student-athlete.
Q: How would you interpret the Spirit of Indiana?
A: To me, the Spirit of Indiana means everything about cream and crimson -- every team supporting one and other and playing to the best of our abilities to represent our university and ourselves.
Q: What does it mean to you to wear the Cream and Crimson, and represent Indiana University?
A: To wear Indiana on my jersey when I play means to represent everything I have worked towards at the university, along with what my teammates and fellow IU athletes have worked towards. When playing, I don't just play for myself; I play for everyone who has come through Indiana University as a student athlete.
Q: As a scholarship athlete, how do you feel you benefit most by the aid you receive from our Varsity Club donors?
A: As a student who receives scholarship support, I benefit from the opportunity to attend a world-class institution that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to afford.
Q: If you had the opportunity to meet the donor that provided your scholarship, what you like to say to them?
Q: If you had the opportunity to meet the donor that provided your scholarship, what you like to say to them?
A: If given the opportunity to meet the donor who provided my scholarship, I would say thank you for your generosity for providing this wonderful opportunity for me to get an exceptional education while playing the sport I love.
