Hoosiers Ready for #B1G Road Trip

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball team will hit the road this weekend as they take on No. 5 Penn State on Friday at 7:00 p.m. ET and battle No. 7 Ohio State Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET.
Anderson's Arsenal
Senior Amelia Anderson is having a career season in her last year with the Cream and Crimson. Anderson is third in the Big Ten in total kills with 263 and ranks sixth in kills per set at 3.76. Anderson is on pace to well exceed her total of 312 kills from last season in 32 matches, already with the 248 kills through 17 matches this season. Anderson is also closing in on becoming the 18th player in program history with 1,000 career kills as she currently has 971.
Can You Dig It?
Senior Courtney Harnish had 16 digs against Purdue on Wednesday and now has 950 for her career, which ranks 13th on the Hoosiers all-time list for career digs.
Aces Wild
The Hoosiers rank number two in the Big Ten in serving with 104 aces on the season. Five different players have at least 10 service aces and an additional two players have nine. Junior Taylor Lebo leads the Hoosiers with 20 as she had three aces against Purdue on Wednesday.
A Look Back
It was on this weekend back in 2010 that the Hoosiers, after a 0-4 start to their Big Ten season beat both No. 4 Penn State and No. 29 Ohio State at University Gym. The Hoosiers went on to advance to their first Sweet 16 in program history that year.
Up Next at Home
The Hoosiers return home for a pair of Big Ten matches next week as they take on Illinois on Friday Oct. 23 at 7:00 p.m. ET and face off against Northwestern on Saturday Oct. 24 at 7:00 p.m. ET. On Friday fans can get trading cards of their favorite IU volleyball players. On Saturday it is Dig Pink and fans will get a free pink shirt while supplies last.
On the Airwaves
This season Lucas Corley is the voice of IU volleyball. For both road matches and home matches Corley will have audio broadcasts and select BTN Plus matches. Lucas is also the host of the weekly coaches show with IU head coach Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan. Both matches this week against Purdue will be on BTN Plus. Saturday at Purdue will also have an IU audio broadcast.
