BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball team will face Purdue for the second time this week as they travel to Purdue for a match Saturday Oct. 10 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Anderson's Arsenal
Senior Amelia Anderson is having a career season in her last year with the Cream and Crimson. Anderson is tied for first in the Big Ten in total kills with 248 and ranks sixth in kills per set at 3.70. Anderson is on pace to well exceed her total of 312 kills from last season in 32 matches, already with the 248 kills through 17 matches this season. Anderson is also closing in on becoming the 18th player in program history with 1,000 career kills as she currently has 971.
Can You Dig It?
Senior Courtney Harnish had 16 digs against Purdue on Wednesday and now has 942 for her career, which ranks 13th on the Hoosiers all-time list for career digs. Harnish has reached double-digit digs in four straight matches.
Aces Wild
The Hoosiers rank number two in the Big Ten in serving with 100 aces on the season. Five different players have at least 10 service aces and an additional player has nine. Junior Taylor Lebo leads the Hoosiers with 19 as she had three aces against Purdue on Wednesday.
On the Airwaves
This season Lucas Corley is the voice of IU volleyball. For both road matches and home matches Corley will have audio broadcasts and select BTN Plus matches. Lucas is also the host of the weekly coaches show with IU head coach Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan. Both matches this week against Purdue will be on BTN Plus. Saturday at Purdue will also have an IU audio broadcast.
