Q: What made you choose Indiana University?
Before coming here on my unofficial visit, people had told me that if it's the right fit for you, you will just know. Well I did not understand what that meant until I stepped foot on the campus. I got this indescribable feeling and I just knew in that moment that I needed to go here because this was where I belonged.
Q: What has been your favorite class so far at IU?
A: I have had a number of really great classes here at IU, but I would have to say my favorite has been my Lab in Human Learning and Cognition that I took last fall with Professor Tom Busey. We focused a lot on research in forensic psychology, which I had not studied much about before. For me, doing research has always been something that peaked my interest and as an added bonus it was nice to have my teammates as my test subjects.
Q: How would you interpret the Spirit of Indiana?
A: The Spirit of Indiana is unlike anything I've ever experienced. The athletic department as a whole is very appreciated by students and the community in a way that I did not expect. As for putting on my jersey, I still get chills after almost four years. The fact that I have been given the opportunity to wear the Indiana script across my chest, like so many great athletes before me, is still unreal to me. It will be challenging to find something else in life that I feel this passionately about after my eligibility is up.
Q: What's your goal for this season?
A: My goal for this season is to just get better every day. I feel that this year we have such great potential and if we just focus on getting better every day and doing the little things that we need to do, it will take us great lengths. I'm really excited for this team this year, I whole heartedly believe that out of my four years here this will be the best year yet!
Q: What's your favorite moment as a Hoosier?
A: I don't feel like I have just one favorite moment as a Hoosier. While there are a number of specific moments that stick out, I feel like every moment with my teammates is something I can cherish for the rest of my life. These women have not just become my teammates, but they've become my sisters and my second family. We've faced adversity together and made it through, and we've also experienced the most thrilling and satisfying moments of our lives thus far. So I would have to say getting to step on the field every day next to the people who are now my family has been my favorite moment as a Hoosier.
Q: What's your hidden talent?
A: I don't know that I have a great hidden talent, but I did play soccer until I was 17 so I'm pretty good at juggling a soccer ball.
Q: What's your favorite place to eat in Bloomington?
A: I have a few favorite places to eat here in Bloomington, I would say my top two are Quaff on! And Bubs Burgers.
Q: As a scholarship athlete, how do you feel you benefit most by the aid you receive from our Varsity Club donors?
A: Without the aid that I receive from our Varsity Club donors, I would not be able to have this amazing opportunity to be a student-athlete at Indiana University. I am so proud to say that I am a Hoosier because without the chance that donors have given me, I would not be the person I am today. Coming to Indiana has changed my life forever and I could not be more grateful for the generous donations made by the Varsity Club donors.
Q: If you had the opportunity to meet the donors that provided your scholarship, what would you like to say to them?
A: "Thank you" would not even come close to summing up the appreciation and gratitude that I feel towards the donors that have provided my scholarship. I would try my best to explain just how much they have given me. I don't just mean the aid to be a student-athlete but the way in which this has set me up for success in my future. The people I have met here and the experiences that I have had have tremendously altered my life in the positive direction. I want the donors to know that they have made my dream since I was four years old come true. I have had the opportunity to play for a Division Isoftball program and attend a highly renowned university. Their donations turned my dream into a reality and I could never thank them enough.

Q: What made you choose Indiana University?
A: I chose Indiana because for me it was the whole package; the school is beautiful, the athletic facilities are incredible, the entire staff is supportive to each individual, and you get to go to a big school but still get the small town vibe with Bloomington.

Q: What was the biggest adjustment for you when coming to Indiana University?
A: The biggest adjustment for me was being so far from home. I thought since I was always very independent at home, I would be okay, but it was definitely a challenge my freshman year. Luckily for me, I had upper classman who were also from the west coast to help me through it.
