BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana stole its third walk-off game of the season with a 5-4 win in the bottom of a 10th inning that saw No. 12 Cal State Fullerton commit three errors in the final frame of the series opener, the first in a doubleheader played between the two teams on Saturday at Bart Kaufman Field.
After Craig Dedelow reached on an error to open the bottom of the 10th, Brad Hartong bunted to advance the sophomore. Cal State Fullerton committed its second error of the stanza in an attempt to throw to second, allowing Dedelow to advance to third and Hartong to reach second with zero outs.
Scott Donley blasted a ball to shortstop, where Cal State Fullerton's Timmy Richards was unable to get a grasp on the ball, allowing Dedelow to score the winning run.
Indiana trailed 2-0 after two innings 4-3 after six, but continued to battle. Four of IU's 10 hits came in the third inning, when the Hoosiers tacked on three runs to take their first lead of the game.
Casey Rodrigue's RBI single in the bottom of the seventh allowed Will Nolden to score the tying run that would eventually force extra innings.
