Indiana Sweeps No. 12 Cal State Fullerton

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana completed its three-game sweep of No. 12 Cal State Fullerton in front of a standing-room only crowd at Bart Kaufman Field with a 10-4 win on Sunday afternoon, winning its 10th consecutive game overall and improving to a perfect 5-0 at home.
Indiana recorded 11 hits, the 11th time in the last 13 games that IU has reached double figures. Sophomore Austin Cangelosi
led the Hoosiers with team highs of three hits, three RBI and two runs scored. Seven Hoosiers registered hits and seven tallied runs for IU.
The Hoosiers caught fire in the sixth inning, scoring seven runs on
seven hits over the next three frames.
Facing a 4-3 deficit in the bottom of the sixth, the first three Hoosiers got on base with two singles and a walk to load the bases. Will Nolden walked, allowing Scott Donley to score the tying run.
Cangelosi scored the go-ahead run after Brian Wilhite hit a sacrifice fly to left field, giving IU a 5-4 lead that it would not relinquish.
Indiana quickly loaded the bases again with zero outs in the seventh inning, before back-to-back 2-RBI doubles by Logan Sowers and Cangelosi gave the Hoosiers a 9-4 advantage.
After Luke Harrison retired the eighth inning in three batters, including two strikeouts, Indiana added its final run on Brad Hartong's single to center bringing home Casey Rodrigue, who reached on a double to open the inning.
Cal State Fullerton loaded the bases in the first inning, but couldn't get on the board, and left seven on base for the game. The Titans took a 1-0 lead in the fourth, before IU quickly responded with three runs on three hits in the bottom of the frame, including a pair of triples from Cangelosi and Isaiah Pasteur.
The Titans matched IU's effort in the top of the fifth with a 3-run home run from Josh Estill, before the Hoosiers finished the game with seven unanswered runs.
