Siri Kristiansen-Redshirt Junior-Rowing-Computer Science
"Siri started the summer with a lot of questions about her major and life after graduation. After a lot of thought, she decided to switch her major and think about post-grad opportunities. These changes led to the last minute addition of a summer course. Siri jumped right into the course, immediately setting up tutoring sessions and spending much of her out of class time studying in Shuel. Her hard work paid off, as she was able to get a nearly perfect score in the course and was asked to be an undergraduate teaching assistant for the upcoming semester. Siri is extremely excited about this opportunity and it's great to see her so excited about a course/subject matter!" –Angie Krilich, Academic Advisor
Austin Cangelosi-Junior-Baseball-Liberal Studies
"Austin Cangelosi had dealt with a bit of adversity in the past from a full staff change to the rigorous demands of balancing his competition and academic schedule. He had made some improvements this past year, but has also had some setbacks, that hindered him from accomplishing his academic and athletic goals. Despite his adversity, Austin made the decision late to enroll in a couple of classes during the summer session to improve his GPA and put him in a better position moving forward academically. I am proud to say that Austin has earned his highest GPA yet. Based off of making the tough decision to return to classes, as well as the hard work he put forth this summer, Austin continues to put forth the work ethic needed for fierce competition on the field and in the classroom." –Marcus Brown, Assistant Director of Academic Services and Certification
