Hoosiers Complete Comeback Win

SAN MARCOS, TEXAS – Down 0-2, the Indiana volleyball team had a calm confidence and told each other they were going to come back and win the match.
It was that belief and play to back it up that carried Indiana to a five set, 3-2 (21-25, 14-25, 25-23, 26-24, 15-10) win at Texas State to wrap up play in the Delta Zeta Classic.
It was senior Chante George, a native of San Antonio, Texas, with her family and friends in attendance that got the match-winning kill for the Hoosiers.
The last time the Hoosiers came back from down 0-2 to win a match was Oct. 31, 2008 against Iowa.
Senior Awele Nwaeze led the Hoosiers (4-2) with 14 kills and eight blocks and junior Megan Tallman picked up a double-double with 49 assists and 11 digs.
Up next the Hoosiers return home to host the Indiana Invitational with their home opener on Friday Sept. 11 at 7:00 p.m. ET vs. Virginia Tech.
