
Hoosiers Place Third at Big Ten Championships

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Indiana took to the Les Bolstad Golf Course for the annual Big Ten Championships cross country meet.
The men's team finished third out of 12 competing teams. The Hoosiers tallied 92 points. The third place finish for IU was the team's best since being crowned conference champion in the 2013 season.
Jason Crist led the way, finishing third to earn his fourth consecutive All-Big Ten selection, three of which were first-team selections. Crist is one of three Hoosiers since 1984 to be named to the All-Conference team in four season. He joins Bob Kennedy and Sean Jefferson.
Matt Schwartzer turned in an All-Big Ten level performance as well, taking fourth. True freshman Ben Veatch made it a trio of Hoosiers to earn All-Big Ten honors. Veatch finished eighth to secure second-team accolades.
Kyle Mau was the fourth Hoosier to cross the finish line as he finished 37th overall. Bryce Millar finished 41st to round out the IU scoring.
The women's team finished eighth out of 14 teams running. Katherine Receveur was outstanding and earned All-Big Ten honors. Receveur finished as the conference's runner-up with a time of 21:02.5. Katherine becomes the first Hoosier since Samantha Ginther in 2013 to earn first-team honors.
Brenna Calder was 22nd, finishing second among IU runners. Corinne Cominator took 45th, Chanli Mundy finished 51st and Maggie Allen was 59th to close out the Hoosier scoring.
