Hoosiers Honored for Scholastic Achievement

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The IU Varsity Club honored 24 Hoosier student-athletes with its annual Scholastic Achievement Awards on Thursday at the men's basketball game.
Since 1979 the Varsity Club has presented the Scholastic Achievement Awards to recognize student-athletes from each of our varsity sports who have excelled in the classroom.
The Scholastic Achievement Award is given to the student-athlete that boasts the highest grade point average (GPA) of any member of their respective team.
The 2016 Jack D. Tichenor Award was also given to IU's top male and female student-athletes that hold the highest individual cumulative GPA among the entire Department of Athletics. This year's recipients were Morgan Dye (field hockey) and Jack Griffith (men's soccer).
