Road Trip to Kentucky Next Up for Hoosiers

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No. 64 Indiana men's tennis team will look to get back on track this week as they travel to Lexington to take on No. 18 Kentucky on Friday February 26 in a 6:00 p.m. ET match.
The Hoosiers (4-5) are coming off a road trip to Oregon, where they dropped a match against the Ducks and then narrowly were defeated 4-3 against Boise State.
Senior Sam Monette is ranked No. 37 in singles and has posted a 17-5 record for the year, including 7-2 in dual match play. Monette will likely battle William Bushamuka from Kentucky, ranked No. 31 in the latest ITA rankings.
The Wildcats (7-2) most recently traveled to South Bend to take on Notre Dame, were they beat the Fighting Irish 4-0.
"We have a lot of opportunities coming up to play some high quality teams," IU head coach Jeremy Wurtzman said. "We have been working hard all season and have earned these opportunities and will look to go out and make the most of them."
Following the match at Kentucky the Hoosiers travel to the east coast next week to take on Cornell (March 3) and Princeton (March 4), before opening Big Ten play at Purdue (March 8).
