BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men's tennis team is back on the road this weekend as they travel to the state of Michigan for matches on Friday at No. 20 Michigan and Sunday at Michigan State.
The Hoosiers will take on the Wolverines on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and travel to East Lansing to battle the Spartans on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
Although they have lost some matches lately, IU head coach Jeremy Wurtzman said he likes how his team is competing.
"We are competing at a high level against some really good teams," he said. "The last couple of teams we played will be competing for Big Ten and NCAA Championships this year. If we continue to play at a high level and put ourselves in position against really good teams we are going to see some breakthroughs."
The No. 20 Michigan squad is 10-0 at home this season after defeating No. 25 Penn State last Friday. Michigan is 2-1 in Big Ten play with wins over Michigan State and Penn State and a defeat against Ohio State.
Michigan State is 10-10 on the season and 0-3 in Big Ten matches. Most recently the Spartans dropped matches against Penn State and Ohio State.
Following the road trip to Michigan and Michigan State the Hoosiers have their next three matches at home with Ohio State (April 8) and a doubleheader on April 10 with Penn State and Butler.
