3/4/2016 8:43:00 PM | Men's Tennis
PRINCETON, N.J. – The east-coast road trip came to a close for the Indiana men's tennis team with a 6-1 loss to the No. 38 Princeton Tigers (10-4) at the Jadwin Gym.
In doubles, the Hoosiers (4-8) won the first match at the No. 3 spot but fell in the remaining matches at No. 2 and No. 1 doubles.
Singles wouldn't provide too much relief for the Hoosiers as the Tigers notched wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, taking a 4-0 lead to clinch the match.
Sam Monette, ranked 37th nationally, won his second straight match with a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles. The Tigers would complete the match with wins at No. 6 and No. 4 singles.
Up next the Hoosiers open up Big Ten play with a match at Purdue. That contest in West Lafayette will be Tuesday, March 8 at 6 PM.
