Hoosiers Open Big Ten Play at Purdue

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men's tennis team looks to get off to a good start in conference action as they begin the league slate at Purdue on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. EST at the Schwartz Tennis Center.
The winner of the match receives one point and will break a 6-6 tie in the Indiana National Guard Governor's Cup battle.
Tuesday's match will be the 97th all-time between the in-state foes with the series dating to May 21, 1914.
Indiana leads the series 63-32-2. The Hoosiers (4-8) won both meetings last year, in Bloomington during the regular season (4-0) and in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament (4-2).
Purdue (10-2) had its eight-match win streak snapped the last time out against No. 44 Drake, 5-2. The Boilermakers have not played a match in 10 days.
Following the match against Purdue the Hoosiers will travel back to the west coast to San Diego where they will play Texas Tech (March 14) and get in a productive week of training.
The next home match for Indiana is March 25, at 6:00 p.m. EST.
