COLUMBUS, Ohio – In Sunday's final round, Indiana senior Camille Chevalier used a 4-under front nine to pick up her first collegiate tournament win with a total score of 213 (75-70-68, 213; -3) while the Hoosiers finished tied for second as a team.
As a team, the Hoosiers posted a team score of 297 in the final round, giving them a total score of 833 and a tie with Ohio State for second place. It marks the second straight tournament where IU his finished in second place and has now finished fourth, second and tied for second in its last three tournaments.
The last time Indiana finished in fourth place or better in three straight tournaments was the fall of 2012 when they finished T-4th, 2nd and 1st at the Johnie Imes Invitational, IU Fall Invitational and Las Vegas Collegiate, respectively.
Chevalier's win is the first individual tournament win by an IU player since Elizabeth Tong won the Indiana Invitational on April 14, 2013.
The senior from France started her day with a birdie on hole 1 and then, after five straight pars, she posted three straight birdies on holes 7, 8 and 9 to go out in 4-under on the front nine. She got to 5-under on her round following a birdie on 14 but a bogey on 15 and three pars to finish the round gave her a 68. It marks her fourth round in the 60s this season and five of her last seven overall rounds that have been under par.
Ana Sanjuan, a junior from Spain, played well in her own right on Sunday, carding a 2-over par score of 74. She had two birdies and two bogeys on her front nine before logging seven pars and two bogeys on the back nine. Her total score of 223 put her in a tie for ninth place and her best finish of the season.
Joining Sanjuan in a tie for ninth was freshman Erin Harper, who closed with a 77 on Sunday. Harper was just one over par on his front nine but opened the back nine with three straight bogeys before playing her final six holes in just one over par. It's her second top 10 finish of the season and third top 25 in her rookie campaign.
Although she finished the tournament tied for 39th with a score of 235 – her best tournament finish of the season, Theresa-Ann Jedra's 78 on Sunday counted towards the team score as others in the lineup posted higher scores. She was steady throughout the round and was able to avoid the large number, registering one birdie, 10 pars and seven bogeys.
Alix Kong, a sophomore, used a final round 80 to earn a tie for 20th with a total score of 226 for the tournament. It's her second straight top 20 finish after she tied for 16th at Briar's Creek the last time out.

Maria Mancini, a senior competing as an individual, also posted an 85 on Sunday and finished tied for 66th with a total score of 247.
