IU Heads to East Lansing for B1G Tournament

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.The tournament will run from April 28-May 1. The Hoosiers will take on host school and 10th-seeded Michigan State in the opening round on Thursday, April 28 at 2 p.m. ET. – The Indiana women's tennis team will make the trek north to East Lansing, Mich. as the No. 7 seed in this week's Big Ten Women's Tennis Tournament.
Indiana (15-10, 5-6) enters the conference tourney with wins in two of its last three matches to end the regular season. The Hoosiers defeated Michigan State (12-11, 4-7) on March 27 in East Lansing in a match that was decided on the final singles court as IU won 4-3.
IU's Paula Gutierrez still finds herself ranked at No. 104 in the latest ITA National Singles Rankings. She's won two of her last three singles matches in the No. 1 position. Stephanie Smith continues to be a bright spot for the Hoosiers out of the No. 4 singles position as she's won five straight singles matches and finished Big Ten play with an 8-2 record.
