BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men's tennis team will play its next three matches at home this weekend as they start by hosting No. 5 ranked Ohio State on Friday April 8 at 6:00 p.m. ET.
The Hoosiers (5-13, 1-4) will then host No. 33 Penn State on Sunday April 10 at 11:00 a.m. and Butler at 5:00 p.m.
Coming off their first victory in conference play after a 6-1 win at Michigan State the Hoosiers hope to carry that momentum into this weekend.
The Buckeyes come in with a 21-2 overall record and 5-0 mark in Big Ten play. Most recently Ohio State beat No. 20 Kentucky on the road, 4-2.
The Nittany Lions have posted a 17-4 overall record with a 3-2 record in Big Ten matches. Penn State will take on Purdue on Friday before making the trip to Bloomington for the Sunday match.
The Hoosiers third opponent of the weekend, the Butler Bulldogs are 8-8 this season and have won their last four matches. Butler hosts DePauw this afternoon before taking on IU on Sunday.
"It was great to get a win on the road last week going into another tough weekend," IU head coach Jeremy Wurtzman said. "If we play like we have been playing against some of the best teams in the country we will put ourselves in a position to be competitive in these matches."
On Friday there will be free pizza given out between the doubles and singles matches while supplies last.
