1V4 Advances to Petite Final; Both Eight’s in C Final

GOLD RIVER, California – After Day Two of the 2016 NCAA Rowing Championships, Indiana had one boat advance to the B finals and two other boats advancing to the C finals that take place on Sunday.
The regatta is taking place at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center and is hosted by the Pac-12 Conference.
The 1V4 has the Hoosiers through the first two days and they will be racing in the B final on Sunday after a sixth place finish in the A/B semifinals with a time of 7:32.670.
To open Saturday's racing, the 1V8 was able to capture a spot in the C final after their third place finish in the semifinal races. Their time of 6:32.194 was roughly three seconds behind Gonzaga in first place and two seconds behind Yale in second place.
In the C/D semifinals for the 2V8 crew, the Hoosiers jumped out quickly from the start and never looked back, winning by open water with a time of 6:40.920, which was nearly five seconds ahead of Gonzaga in second place.
On Sunday, the 2V8 will be the first IU crew to compete, as they take part in the C final at 8:48 a.m. PT. Then the 1V8 will be in the C final as well, which gets underway at 9:12 a.m. PT. Then the 1V4 will wrap-up the day with their Petite final at 10:00 a.m. PT
