Tennis Concludes Hoosier Classic

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's tennis team wrapped up competition for the Hoosier Classic on Sunday at the IU Varsity Tennis Courts. Senior Kim Schmider and sophomore Madison Appel won the doubles final with a 8-0 victory over the team of Ashby and Eristavi of Western Michigan.
In singles play graduate student Alicia Robinson won her flight of singles over Meika Ashby of Western Michigan. Robinson won three singles matches on the way to winning the flight.
Schmider reached the third-place match in her flight but dropped a 6-2, 6-3 match to Katja Fevralev of Western Michigan.
Up next the Hoosiers will compete in the ITA Regional and also host the IU Regional in Bloomington. Those events are set for the weekend of Oct. 21-24.
