Hoosiers Open Dual Match Play Against Western Michigan, Butler

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team opens dual match play on Saturday Jan. 21 against Western Michigan and Butler.
The Hoosiers will take on Western Michigan at 11:00 a.m. and host Butler at 4:00 p.m.
The match against Western Michigan will have special meaning for new head coach Ramiro Azcui. Azcui, who took over for Lin Loring, who retired earlier this month, will coach his first match as head coach against his daughter's team. Azcui's daughter Denise, is a sophomore at Western Michigan.
Denise Azcui won two state championships on the tennis team at Bloomington South High School.
Fans coming to the match on Saturday can pick up the IU women's tennis schedule poster and schedule cards.
Indiana opened the spring semester by hosting the IU Winter Invitational last week and Azcui said he is excited to host the first dual matches of the season.
"I'm excited to start the dual match part of our schedule," IU head coach Ramiro Azcui said. "Our kids are excited to come together as a team and compete together this weekend."
