LAST TIME OUT
• The Hoosiers dropped a pair of home contests last week, falling to Northwestern and Illinois.
HOOSIER NOTABLES
• Junior Maya Piper leads the Hoosiers with six goals this season and 13 total points. She recorded Indiana's third-fastest goal in program history against Northwestern last Thursday, scoring just 41 seconds in to the contest.
• Sophomore Chandra Davidson is close behind Piper with five goals on the year. Three of Davidson's scores have been gamewinners. Davidson has also added a pair of assists, including on Mykayla Brown's goal against Illinois Sunday.
• 10 different Hoosiers have recorded an assist this season. Mykayla Brown has registered four assists this year, a career-best for the redshirt junior.
• The Hoosiers saw a streak of first-half goals stopped on Sunday as Indiana had scored in the first half for five straight contests.
• Freshman goalkeeper Bethany Kopel has recorded four shutouts this season, and has 54 saves, which is good for third in the Big Ten. The Novi, Mich. is tied for 10th nationally for most goalkeeper minutes played (1210:00) and has logged the third most minutes amongst fellow freshmen keepers.
• Indiana has drawn 69 corner kicks this season, tied for second most in the conference. In addition, IU averages 5.85 corner kicks per game, which is ranked 40th nationally.
• The Hoosiers rank second in the Big Ten with total shots on the season at 176.
SCOUTING MINNESOTA
• The Golden Gophers are on a four-game unbeaten streak, including three straight victories. Last weekend, Minnesota took down Rutgers and Maryland on the road to improve to 3-1-1 in conference action.
• Minnesota leads the Big Ten in most offensive categories, including goals (27), goals per game (2.45), assists (30), points (84) and shots (204). The Golden Gophers rank seventh nationally in assists and points, and 10th in goals.
• Sydney Squires leads the way with 10 goals, which is tops in the conference. April Bockin is pacing the team and the country with nine assists on the year.
• In goal, Kailee Sharp and Maddie Nielsen have both stepped in but Sharp has carried most of the minutes. She has 15 saves with a 0.64 goals against average.
• The Golden Gophers lead the all-time series, 17-9-2. IU and Minnesota met twice last season, with the first resulting in a 3-0 Golden Gopher victory in Bloomington. The rematch came in the Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinals in Minnesota. Mykayla Brown scored for the Hoosiers but ultimately fell, 3-1.
• IU's last victory against Minnesota came in 2013 with the last victory in St. Paul coming in 2001.
SCOUTING WISCONSIN
• The Badgers also traveled east last weekend, drawing with Maryland, 2-2, before falling to Rutgers, 1-0. Wisconsin's best win of the season came in non-conference as they took down No. 3 Virginia, 1-0.
• Wisconsin, who climbed as high as ninth in the Coaches' poll earlier this season, are led in scoring by Dani Rhodes, who has found the back of the net eight times.
• Caitlyn Clem has 35 saves on the year with a 1.00 goals against average.
• The Badgers lead the all-time series with IU, 14-10-2. However, the Hoosiers picked up a 3-2 victory in Bloomington last season behind scores from Allison Jorden, Kylie Kirk and Cassidy Blacha. The goal from Kirk was the first of her career.
ROAD WARRIORS
• Indiana's return to the road is the first since the Hoosiers wrapped up a seven-game road swing on Sept. 17. IU has posted a 4-2-1 record in the seven games away from Bill Armstrong Stadium. Not counting the neutral site game against Memphis, the Hoosiers are 4-1-1 in true road games.
• During that road swing, IU visited Michigan twice (Western Michigan, Michigan State and Michigan), Tennessee (Vanderbilt and Memphis) and Texas (SMU and North Texas).
