No. 1 Indiana Faces Penn State on Saturday Night

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No. 1-ranked Indiana University men's soccer team will head to State College, Pa. on Saturday night to face Big Ten rival Penn State.

SETTING THE SCENE
• The No. 1-ranked Indiana University men's soccer team will head east to face Big Ten rival Penn State on Saturday, Oct. 7 in State College, Pa.
• The Hoosiers enter Saturday's contest with a 9-0-2 record on the season overall after taking down Evansville, 4-0, on Tuesday night.
• Freshman goalkeeper Trey Muse has played well this season, posting a NCAA-best nine shutouts while allowing just two goals with 25 saves.
• Junior Andrew Gutman and freshman Mason Toye lead the Hoosiers with five goals each, while Toye leads the team with 13 points on the year.
• Junior Austin Panchot, junior Rece Buckmaster and freshman Griffin Dorsey lead the team with four assists each.

• The Penn State Nittany Lions enter Saturday's match with the Hoosiers with an overall record of 2-6-2 on the season and a mark of 0-4 in Big Ten play.
• PSU's two victories on the season have come at home to Saint Francis (1-0, 2OT) and Detroit Mercy (2-0).
• The early Big Ten schedule did no favors for Penn State, as they have fell at Ohio State, vs. Maryland, at Wisconsin and against Michigan.

• Dorsey and the U.S. U18 team will play a pair of friendly matches in Spain. The camp began on Oct. 2 with games against Belgium on Thursday, Oct. 5, and Russia on Sunday, Oct. 9.
• Dorsey is no stranger to the U.S. U-18 squad, having played for the team in tournaments in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Portugal.

• Indiana is ranked No. 1 in the nation this week in the United Soccer Coaches poll, the Top Drawer Soccer rankings and the Soccer America Top 25. IU comes in at No. 2 in the College Soccer News poll.
