Bloomington, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball team will take on Iowa and No. 7 Nebraska this weekend as they go on the road for the second straight weekend.

ASDELL STRONG FOR THE HOOSIERS
Junior team captain Elizabeth Asdell has been one of the Hoosiers most consistent players this season. In her last five matches combined, Asdell has recorded 50 kills and is hitting .413. Asdell ranks 12th in the Big Ten in hitting percentage in conference matches this season at .316 and is hitting .315 for the season. Asdell is second on the team in kills with 209 for the season. In her most recent match, against Ohio State, Asdell hit .438 with nine kills.
HITTING OVER 300
Asdell is not the only one hitting over .300 on the season. Sophomore middle blocker Deyshia Lofton leads the Hoosiers with a .346 hitting percentage. Lofton is third on the team in kills with 202 for the season. In her most recent match, against Ohio State, Lofton hit .476 with 12 kills. Lofton ranks 11th in the Big Ten in hitting percentage and is also 10th in the conference in blocks.
SERVING UP ACES
Sophomore setter Victoria Brisack tallied five aces against Rutgers in the Hoosiers match at Oct. 20. It was the Hoosiers most aces by an individual this season. Brisack followed it up the next day with two aces against No. 1 Penn State. Brisack leads the Hoosiers with 30 aces this season and ranks seventh in the Big Ten in aces per set.
FRESHMEN IMPACT
The Indiana youth is quite evident on the 2017 roster with 11 freshmen and sophomores. Freshman Kamryn Malloy has 116 kills for the Hoosiers this season. Freshman Nora Meehan has stepped into the starting libero role recently. Meehan had 14 digs in the Hoosiers win against Rutgers and 11 against Ohio State. Freshman Bayli Lebo has played 82 of the Hoosiers 87 sets this season. Lebo is second on the team in aces with 22 and has recorded 120 digs. Lebo ranks third among Big Ten freshmen in aces per set this season.
LOFTON LEADS THE BIG TEN
Sophomore Deyshia Lofton leads the Big Ten in solo blocks with 20 and is 10th in the conference in total blocks per set. Lofton also ranks 11th in the conference in hitting percentage at .346. Lofton is third on the team with 202 kills and leads the team in blocks with 91.
BACK AT HOME
The Hoosiers will be back at home on Nov. 10, 11 for matches against Wisconsin and Minnesota at University Gym.
