Sunday Doubleheader Up Next For IU

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men's tennis team will begin a four-match homestand over the next two weekends with a match against the Northwestern Wildcats and Detroit Mercy Titans.

Last Meeting
The Hoosiers are looking for their first win against the Wildcats since 2012.
This will be the second time in program history Indiana will play Detroit. The last time was in 1941 when the Hoosiers won 9-0.
About the Wildcats
Northwestern comes to Bloomington at 12-6. The Wildcats are ranked No. 20 and have two ranked singles players. Strong Kirchheimer is No. 41 and Konrad Zieba is No. 53. In doubles, Sam Shropshire and Zieba are No. 33. Kirchheimer and Dominik Starý are No. 55.
About the Titans
Detroit is 6-8 and will play the Hoosiers after a match against the Dayton Flyers. The Titans post a 2-6 road record with wins coming at Chicago State and Chattanooga.
Hoosiers in the Rankings
For the fifth straight week, IU is in the ITA rankings. This week, they come in at 35. The singles rankings have Antonio Cembellin at 121.

The Hoosiers are 9-6 with victories against, Bryant, Dartmouth, Ball State, Eastern Illinois, Illinois-Chicago, Princeton, Louisville, No. 32 Washington, and Purdue. Of those wins, Louisville is No. 34, and Purdue is No. 50 in the latest rankings.

On March 31 and April 2, the Hoosiers will welcome the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans to Bloomington for matches.
