Hoosiers Host Big Ten Opponents

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men's tennis team will host two Big Ten foes, Michigan and Michigan State this weekend.

Friday, March 31 at 6 p.m. ET
Indiana vs. No. 18 Michigan

Sunday, April 2 at 2 p.m. ET
Indiana vs. Michigan State
IU Tennis Center or outdoor Varsity Tennis Courts
Last Meeting
The Hoosiers and Wolverines have split wins the last two years with Michigan winning last year 4-0 and IU winning 5-2 in 2015.
The same can be said about the Spartans and Hoosiers as IU won 6-1 last season but fell 5-2 the year before.
About the Wolverines
Michigan comes to Bloomington at 12-4. The Wolverines are ranked No. 18 and have three ranked singles players. Myles Schalet is No. 74, Jathan Malik is No. 91, and Kevin Wong is No. 109. In doubles, Malik and Wong are No. 5. When Malik is with Connor Johnston, they combine for the No. 30 duo. Alex Knight and Runhao Hua are No. 66.
About the Spartans
Michigan State is 10-9 and will play the Hoosiers after a match against the Purdue Boilermakers.

For the sixth straight week, IU is in the ITA rankings. This week, they come in at 44. The singles rankings have Antonio Cembellin at 121.
