CHICAGO – Indiana's redshirt junior Jake Brown played his first nine holes in 1-under par and closed with a round of 71 to sit at 1-over par and a tie for 24th after 18 holes of the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational on Friday at Olympia Field Country Club North Course.

As a team, Indiana is in 14th place with a score of 298 (+18).

Brown played well on the front nine, carding eight pars and one birdie to make the turn in 34. On the back nine, he added nine more pars and two bogeys to finish with 1-over par for the day.

Sophomore Brock Ochsenreiter began his round by going out in 3-over par 38 but then played the back nine in 1-under par to close with a 72 and a tie for 27th place individually.

Senior Brendon Doyle was 4-over on his front nine and 3-over on his back nine to post a 77 while Evan Gaesser and Ethan Shepherd recorded scores of 78 and 79, respectively.
