No. 4 Indiana Hosts South Florida on Fireworks Night on Sunday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No. 4-ranked Indiana University men's soccer team will host the South Florida Bulls on Fireworks Night at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington, Ind. on Sunday night in the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic.
Kickoff on Sunday between the Hoosiers and Bulls is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET. The match will be streamed live online on BTN Plus and live stats are available at IUHoosiers.com.

SETTING THE SCENE
• The No. 4-ranked Indiana University men's soccer team will host San Francisco, South Florida and Butler in the 2017 adidas/IU Credit Union Classic this weekend at Armstrong Stadium.
• The Hoosiers enter Sunday with a 3-0 record on the season after taking down San Francisco on Friday, 5-1, on the first day of the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic.
• Freshman goalkeeper Trey Muse has played well this season, posting two shutouts while allowing just one goal with seven saves.
SCOUTING THE BULLS
• The South Florida Bulls enter Sunday's match with the Hoosiers with a 1-1 record on the season.
• On Friday, the Bulls had a late lead over No. 17 Butler, but the Bulldogs scored the equalizer in the 89th minute and then scored the match winner two minutes in to overtime on a penalty kick.
• USF was picked to finish third in the American Athletic Conference in a preseason poll conducted by the league's coaches.
• Midfielder Ricardo Gomez was named to the American Preseason All-Conference Team.
• The Bulls finished 2016 with a 10-6-4 record and a 6-1-0 mark in The American. USF claimed the regular season title, its second league title in four years.
• USF returns three starters from last season's NCAA tournament team.
SERIES HISTORY
• Indiana leads the overall series over South Florida, 3-1-1, including 1-0-0 mark at Armstrong Stadium.
• The two teams last met in 2015 in the Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament in South Bend, Ind., with IU winning 2-0. Grant Lillard tallied a score in the victory.
• In the overall series, the Hoosiers have out-scored the Bulls, 12-4.

• Indiana opens the season ranked No. 4 in the nation in the Soccer America, No. 5 in the Top Drawer poll, No. 7 in the United Soccer Coaches poll and No. 8 by College Soccer News.
• In the final United Soccer Coaches poll of 2016, the Hoosiers were ranked No. 9 in the country.
FIVE DIFFERENT PLAYERS SCORE IN WIN OVER SAN FRANCISCO
• In a 5-1 victory over San Francisco on Sept. 1, five different players - Trevor Swartz, Mason Toye, Timmy Mehl, Francesco Moore and Rashad Hyacenth - all scored for the Hoosiers.
• Indiana scored five goals with five different scorers for the first time since they had six different players score in a 6-0 win against Butler on Oct. 19, 2005.
DORSEY, GUTMAN EARN WEEKLY HONORS
• Indiana freshman Griffin Dorsey was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on Aug. 29 after scoring the match-winner for IU in the team's 1-0, overtime win over San Diego on Aug. 27.
• IU's Andrew Gutman was named to College Soccer News' National Team of the Week on Aug. 28 after scoring the game-winner for the Hoosiers in the team's win over Cal Poly on Aug 25. Gutman also helped Indiana post back-to-back shutouts in the season's opening weekend.
HOOSIERS START THE SEASON 3-0
• With victories over Cal Poly, San Diego and San Francisco to start the season, IU has posted a 3-0 record in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1997-98.
• Indiana is looking to start 4-0 on a season for the first time since 2004 and for the seventh time in program history - 2004, 1997, 1984, 1978, 1975, 1974, 1973.
LILLARD HIGHLIGHTS PRESEASON HONORS
• Grant Lillard was named a unanimous preseason first-team All-America honoree, earning the accolades from both Top Drawer Soccer and College Soccer News.
• Lillard was also named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List for the second-straight year.
• Along with Lillard, both Andrew Gutman and Jeremiah Gutjahr were named to the Big Ten Preseason Honors List.
• In the Top Drawer Top 100 Upperclassmen rankings, Lillard checked in at No. 5 overall, while Gutman was ranked No. 76 in the country.
IU'S 2017 RECRUITING CLASS RANKED NO. 4 IN THE NATION
• IU head coach Todd Yeagley signed a highly-touted, 10-member 2017 recruiting class that was ranked No. 4 in the country by both Top Drawer Soccer and College Soccer News.
• Among the recruits were four players with USMNT experience - Griffin Dorsey, Trey Muse, Justin Rennicks and Mason Toye.
