Hoosiers Edged by No. 5 USC

LOS ANGELES – Indiana men's tennis fell to No. 5 USC, 6-1, in the first match of the ITA Kick-Off weekend at Marks Stadium on the campus of USC.
The Hoosiers (2-2) dropped the doubles point after losses at the second and third spots.
Freshman Brandon Lam got the sole win for IU in singles as he took down No. 82 Jack Jaede, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 in three sets. Joining Lam in third set matches were junior Antonio Cembellin, senior Keivon Tabrizi, and sophomore Bennett Crane. The Trojans outlasted the three Hoosiers in three sets, securing their 6-1 victory.
The Hoosiers will look to rebound when they face SMU (1-3) tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Marks Stadium.
