BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The 2018-19 regular season tips off on Wednesday night as Indiana hosts Milwaukee at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Game time is set for 7 p.m. ET and will be shown on BTN Plus.

ABOUT THE PANTHERS
Milwaukee is coming off a 21-12 record overall last season and a 11-7 finish in the Horizon League. They advanced to the second round of the WNIT, meeting Indiana in a 74-54 loss. The Panthers are coming off a 84-69 exhibition win over Parkside on Thursday night. Losing its top three scorers from last season, Milwaukee returns junior guard Jamie Reit (8.7 ppg., 3.4 rpg.) and McKaela Schmelzer (4.7 ppg., 2.8 rpg.). They were picked to finish fifth this season in the Horizon League.
NOTES
- The Hoosiers hosted their lone exhibition game on Friday night as it defeated Northwood, 78-52. They were led by four players in double figures as freshman forward Aleksa Gulbe scored 15 points and added five blocks.
- IU is 32-14 overall in season openers, winning its last five-straight. They also open up the regular season on their home court for the sixth-consecutive season.
- Indiana is coming off winning the 2018 WNIT Championship and returns three starters from its 23-14 campaign, their third-straight 20-win season.
- Head Coach Teri Moren enters her fifth season at the helm of the program.
- Senior forward Kym Royster (10.2 ppg., 6.0 rpg.) and sophomore guards Jaelynn Penn (10.8 ppg., 4.9 rpg., 2.1 apg.) and Bendu Yeaney (8.4 ppg., 5.0 rpg.) also return.
- IU also welcomes five newcomers to its lineup this season, including two transfers in Ali Patberg and Brenna Wise who sat out last season. Three freshmen join the fold in Grace Berger (Louisville, Ky.), Aleksa Gulbe (Riga, Latvia) and Chanel Wilson (Powder Springs, Ga.).
IU hits the road for the first time this season when it plays at Oakland on Sunday. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.
