Hoosiers Set to Battle Two Top-10 Teams on the Road

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball team will go on the road this week and play on back-to-back days in two cities against two top-10 teams.

Notes
• Indiana enters the match with an overall record of 15-10 and a mark of 6-8 in Big Ten matches. Minnesota is 20-2 and 14-0 in the Big Ten and Wisconsin is 16-6 overall and 9-5 in the Big Ten.
• Last week the Hoosiers beat No. 14 Michigan at home and took Purdue to five sets on the road.
• Freshmen outside hitter Breana Edwards leads the Hoosiers in kill with 284. The number represents the most for an Indiana freshman since Jordan Haverly set the Indiana freshmen record with 446 in 2009. All-American Ashley Benson had 261 in her freshman season in 2007.
• Edwards led the Hoosiers with 19 kills against Purdue.
• The Hoosiers have 259.5 total team blocks and 97 solo blocks through 25 matches. In 32 matches, last season Indiana had 188 total team blocks and 45 solo blocks.
• Indiana has recorded 10 or more blocks in 14 matches this season.
• Deyshia Lofton leads Indiana in blocks with 112. Lofton ranks eighth in the Big Ten in blocks per set at 1.15. Lofton leads the Hoosiers in hitting percentage at .343 on the season.
• Junior Hayden Huybers ranks seventh in the Big Ten in conference only matches in hitting percentage at .344. Huybers has 155 kills for the season.
• Sophomore Bayli Lebo had a career-high 28 digs in the match at Purdue. Lebo has now moved into eighth on the Hoosiers all-time list for single-season digs with 423. She is 23 digs from moving into the top-five on that list.
• Junior Victoria Brisack became the 10th player in program history to reach 2,000 career assists when she reached that milestone in the Hoosiers win against Ohio State on Oct. 19.
• Kamryn Malloy posted six aces in the Hoosiers win at Rutgers. That number tied for the second most aces in a four-set match in program history.
• Freshman Breana Edwards leads the Hoosiers with 22 solo blocks. That number is third all-time on the Indiana freshmen only records.
