Hoosiers Head to Terre Haute for NCAA Great Lake Regional

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.— After nearly two weeks since Big Ten Championships, Indiana Cross Country is back action Friday at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in Terre Haute, Ind. at the LaVern Gibson Championship cross country course. The women's 6k will begin at 11:15 am ET while the men's 10k will start at 12:15 pm. Both races with be live streamed via FloTrack and live results will be conducted by TimingMD.
The women's 6k race will feature 34 teams and 305 individual competitors. Michigan enters the meet ranked No. 1 in the Great Lakes region. In state rival Michigan State comes in as the No. 2 ranked team followed by Wisconsin (3), Indiana (4), and Notre Dame (5) who round out the top five.
Katherine Receveur leads the Hoosiers on the women's side after taking sixth overall at Big Ten Championships in a time of 19:49.3. Senior Maggie Allen also had a strong outing at the Championships by placing ninth.
The two seniors are accompanied by Bailey Hertenstein who finished third for the Hoosiers and 26th overall as she crossed the finish line in 20:52.5. Haley Harris finished 30th overall at conference championships while teammate Lexa Barrott placed 39th. Hannah Stoffel and Kelsey Harris placed five runners apart at Big Tens. Grace Walther will also compete on Friday as she took 88th.
Josey Korte will make her cross country postseason debut while Claire Hamilton rounds out the women's roster for regionals.
On the men's side, the race will be increased by 2,000 meters as they will race a 10k. 30 teams will be featured with 267 individual competitors. Wisconsin is coming off a Big Ten title and is ranked No. 1 in the Great Lakes region. ACC Champions Notre Dame come in at No. 2 followed by Purdue, Indiana, and Michigan rounding out the top five.

Kyle Mau lead the Hoosiers as he placed seventh overall to earn All-Big Ten First Team honors (23:44.3). True freshman Dustin Horter made his postseason debut and finished 14th to take home All-Big Ten second team in a time of 24:06.1.
Mau and Horter will be joined by junior Bryce Millar and senior Joe Murphy who finished almost back to back at the Championships as they notched 24th and 26th finishes. Freshmen Arjun Jha, Reese Jordan, will see their first NCAA Championships after strong race at the Big Ten Championships. Daniel Michalski and Kenneth Hagen will run in the first postseason race in the Indiana uniform. Rounding out the roster for Friday is Bloomington, Ind. native Kyle Burks who took 46th overall for the Hoosiers at conference championships.
The top two teams in each region will advance to the NCAA Championships. Additional teams and individual participants will be chosen through an at-large selection process. The additional teams and individuals will be announced by the NCAA on Saturday, Nov. 10.
