ABOUT THE HAWKEYES
Iowa enters Saturday's regular season finale after a Wednesday night overtime win at Rutgers, 77-67, which marked its sixth-straight win. They are led by the nation's leading scorer in junior forward Megan Gustafson (24.9 ppg., 12.7 rpg.) and sophomore guard Kathleen Doyle (11.5 ppg., 6.5 apg.). The Hawkeyes are the league's fourth-best offense, averaging 79.6 points per contest while shooting 48.8 percent from the floor.
BUSS AND CAHILL NAMED COSIDA ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT
Seniors Tyra Buss and Amanda Cahill have been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team, announced by the organization today. The senior duo are two of five players in District 5 and now are eligible for the organization's Academic All-American distinction, which will be announced in March. Cahill is a three-time all-district selection and a 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-American selection who holds a 3.92 GPA in Elementary education. Buss earns her first all-district honors in her career as she holds a 3.3 GPA in physical education. They are one of three pairs on the same Division I program to be named to first teams, with Belmont and Kentucky also placed two student-athletes on the first team.
MAKE IT EIGHT
The Hoosiers picked up their eight-straight victory on Tuesday night with its first win at Minnesota since 2011. It ties for IU's longest win streak in Big Ten play since 1982-83 when IU won eight-in-a-row. It also marks the longest win streak under fourth-year head coach Teri Moren. The streak has spanned over the course of a month, starting off at Michigan on Jan. 20.
STATS IN THE STREAK
Through its eight-game win streak, Indiana has averaged 70.9 points and shot 45.3 percent from the field. Buss leads the way with 25.5 points and 5,0 assists while Cahill contributes 16.5 points and shooting 48.8 percent from the floor and 90 percent from the free throw line to go along with 8.0 rebounds. Freshman guard Jaelynn Penn (10.4 ppg.) and junior forward Kym Royster (10.3 ppg.) each have averaged double digits.
SEND OFF IN STYLE
Seniors Tyra Buss and Amanda Cahill capped off their playing careers by combining for 53 points in an 83-75 win over Nebraska on Feb. 16. Buss paced Indiana with a season-high 37 points, five assists and five rebounds while finishing one shy of her career-high while Cahill recorded her 10th double-double of the season and 39th of her career with 16 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocks. Her seven blocks tied the second-best single game performance at Indiana.
BUSS NAMED TO BIG TEN HONOR ROLL
Senior guard Tyra Buss earned a spot on the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll announced by the league on Feb. 19. The Mt. Carmel, Ill. native averaged 25.0 points, 4.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and made just one turnover in 79 minutes of action against Purdue and Nebraska to earn her third honor roll distinction this season. She also earned honors on Nov. 13 and on Feb. 8. It also marks the fourth weekly honor roll award for her career.
EIGHT POINTS OR LESS
Indiana has battled in its share of close
games this season, deciding 12 games by eight points or less. The Hoosiers are 7-6 in games decided by eight points or less this season. Eight of those game Feb. 12 win at Purdue, 52-44.
THAT SCHEDULE IS TOUGH
The Hoosiers are playing one of the toughest schedules in the nation, which is currently 13th in Division I. They have faced six ranked opponents this season, including four of their first seven games in Big Ten play. Of those four league foes, they met three of those on the road. In addition, Indiana has five top 50 RPI wins - Minnesota (25), Rutgers (33), Western Kentucky (44) and Purdue (45). The Hoosiers are sitting at No. 52 in the latest RPI.
MORE RECORDS TO BREAK
With records set in points scored, free throws made, free throws attempted, and steals, Buss will set her sights on the assist and 3-pointers attempted records at Indiana. Buss closed out Tuesday's win at Minnesota in a tie for the all-time school record in assists, tying Tisha Hill's 533 career dishes. Buss is also chipping away at the all-time 3-pointers made and attempted list, coming in fourth makes (182) and second in attempts (579). She can also make history once again as she approaches her 600th point of the season on Saturday. Buss currently has tallied 591 points and is nine points shy of becoming the first player in school history to do it in three-straight seasons - 2015-16 (620) and 2015-16 (619).

CAHILL MAKES HER MARK
Senior Amanda Cahill set another career milestone against Wisconsin on Jan. 24, as she grabbed her 1,000th rebound. She became the third player to record 1,000 rebounds along with Denise Jackson (1,273) and Whitney Thomas (1,090) to reach the career milestone. She's just the second-ever player to record over 1,700 points and 1,000 rebounds. She ranks seventh all-time in scoring (1,732), third all-time in rebounds (1,049), third in all-time double-doubles (39) and seventh in blocks (121). She is also seventh amongst all active Division I players in rebounds.
PENN PUTS UP POINTS
Freshman guard Jaelynn Penn continues to put up solid numbers for Indiana in her freshman season. She has posted 11 games in double digits this season as she tied a season-high 21 points on Saturday against Nebraska. The Louisville, Ky. native is averaging 10.0 points and 4.9 rebounds in her freshman season. She ranks sixth in points per game amongst all Big Ten freshmen, tied for third in steals (1.1), sixth in rebounding and tied for sixth in assists (2.2). She is a two-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week selection as she picked up honors in back-to-back weeks on Jan. 22 and Jan. 29 while starting every game for Indiana this season.
BENDU DOUBLES UP
Freshman guard Bendu Yeaney posted her second double-double as she scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the win at Minnesota. It marked the ninth game in double figures for the Portland, Ore. native this season, as she ranks tied for 11th amongst all freshman in scoring in the Big Ten. Her 5.1 rebounds per game is fourth while her 2.2 assists are tied with teammate Jaelynn Penn for sixth. Her 11 blocks is also tied for seventh while coming in 10th in 3-point field goals made.

The Big Ten will announce seeding for the Big Ten Tournament after the completion of Sunday's game. The league tournament begins on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
