Track & Field Kicks Off Outdoor Season at Butler

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University track and field open their outdoor season Saturday, March 17 at the Stan Lyons Invitational hosted by Butler University.
Indiana will be one of twelve teams competing Saturday afternoon. Other teams will be Ball State, Dayton, IUPUI, Loyola, Marian, Northern Kentucky, Taylor, Evansville, Wright State and Xavier.
The meet is scheduled to start at 11:00 am EST with the field events. The Hoosiers first event will be the women's 1500m at 1:10 pm EST.
Redshirt freshman Stacy Morozov and redshirt freshman Grace Walther and will open the meet for the Hoosiers in the women's 1500m. Freshman Claire Hamilton will also run in the 1500m unattached.
Walther, Hamilton (unattached), redshirt freshman Amy Smith and freshman Lorena Daugherty (unattached) will all compete in the women's 800m at 3:15 pm EST.
On the men's side redshirt freshman Cameron Clements will run in the men's 1500m at 1:40 pm EST. Freshman Aaron Bennett and freshman Reese Jordan will join Clements on the track and run unattached.
Clements, Bennett (unattached) and Jordan (unattached) will run in the men's 800m at 3:30 pm EST. Redshirt freshman Marcus Ellington will also run the 800m.
