BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Hoosiers lost a 3-0 (21-25, 19-25, 14-25) battle against the No. 6 Minnesota Golden Gophers Sunday night at University Gym.

Key Moments

After a slow start the Hoosiers went on to score nine straight points in the first set to bring the set to 21-24.
In the second set while tied at 12-12, the Golden Gophers scored five straight to bring the score to 12-17. There were six ties in this set.
At 13-17 in the second set, the Hoosiers went on a 4-1 scoring run, bringing the set within reach at 16-18. Minnesota countered with a 3-0 run to go up 21-16.
With Minnesota leading 10-8 in the third set, the Golden Gophers scored 11 of the next 13 points to go up 21-10.

Kendall Beerman recorded her 700^th career kill in the match.

"We have a lot of things to get better at. I didn't think we started on time. I didn't think I did a good job of preparing the team today. I'm going to eat a lot of this. I have to be a lot better. I have to do a better job of getting people ready. When you don't have a good night, people want to blame people, but I thought we had some kids do really good things."

"Minnesota is a really good team and is among the teams really serious about trying to win the whole thing. We are not one of those teams yet. We are trying to get better and play with greater consistency."
