Muncie, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball team overcame a scrappy Ball State opponent in five sets (25-16, 23-25, 24-26, 25-21, 15-13) on Friday to close play in the Active Ankle Challenge. The Hoosiers (6-2) went 2-1 on the weekend with wins against North Dakota State and Ball State and a defeat against RV Northern Iowa.

Key Moments
• The Hoosiers got out to a 9-4 lead in the first set on their way to winning it 25-16.
• Ball State took a 2-1 lead in the match with a 26-24 set three win.
• In the fourth set, the Cardinals went up 19-15 on the Hoosiers, but Indiana scored four straight, including back-to-back aces from Bayli Lebo to tie it at 19.
• Indiana scored six of the last eight points to take the fourth set, 25-21 and force a fifth set.
• Ball State led 6-4 in the fifth set, but Indiana scored five of the next seven points to take a 9-8 lead. They never trailed the rest of the match.
• At 13-13 Indiana got a kill from Breana Edwards and a block from Kendall Beerman and Lexi Johnson to win the match.

• Hayden Huybers led Indiana with a career-high 18 kills.
