Hoosiers Ready to Host Rival Tennessee

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.— Indiana Track & Field returns from a month-long break to host the Indiana vs. Tennessee Duals inside Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse on Saturday, Jan. 5. The meet is schedule to begin at 12:00 p.m. and will conclude approximately around 2:40 p.m.
The Indiana vs. Tennessee Duals began in 1982 and ran through the late 90's. The meet between the Hoosiers and Volunteers returned in 2016 as this will be the fourth consecutive year that Indiana will host the dual meet. Tennessee leads the all-time series on the men's side 14-8-1 and 10-3-1 on the women's side.
Each event will be scored. First place will earn five points, three points for second, and third place will receive one point. The winning relay squad will earn five points towards the team score.
Schedule of Events
Saturday's meet will feature 14 events, eight track events and six field events.
The order of events for track— 60-meter hurdles, 60-meter, mile, 400-meter, 800-meter, 200-meter, 3000-meter, 4x400-meter relay
Order of events for field— Long Jump, Pole Vault, Weight Throw, High Jump, Shot Put, Triple Jump

Last Season at the Duals
The Indiana men tied the Volunteers last season at the Indiana vs. Tennessee Duals with a score of 59 a piece. On the women's side, the Hoosiers had a hard-fought battle but fell 74-48.
Last Time Out
The Hoosiers opened the 2018-19 season by hosting the Hoosier Open on Dec. 7. Rikkoi Brathwaite had a strong start to the season as he recorded the fourth fastest time in school history in the 60m with a time of 6.68. In the women's mile, Indiana swept the top five spots in Bailey Hertenstein, Haley Harris, Hannah Stoffel, Grace Walther, and Josey Korte. The Hoosier men saw first place in five events throughout the meet.
Keeping Up with the Hoosiers
Eric Bethea (triple jump), Brathwaite (60m), and Kelsey Harris (1,000m) all ran the fastest times in the NCAA in their respective events.
Brathwaite and Zubin Mucherji have seen success in their college careers, but also have had success in their home countries. Brathwaite is a native of the Brittish Virigin Islands and now holds the country's record in the 60-meter with a time of 6.68. Muncherji calls Singapore home and holds four records in various events including the 200m (22.60), 400m (47.82), 500m (1;04.38), and 600m (1:21.99).
