Barrott and Grant Lead Hoosiers at Butler Bulldog Invitational

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indiana Cross Country concluded the regular season at the Butler Bulldog Invitational on Friday Afternoon. Lexa Barott and Keelan Grant walked away as meet champions.
In the women's race, running for Indiana, Maddie Dalton captured 12th place by crossing in a time of 19:00.4.
Running unattached on the women's side, Lexa Barrott, Gracie Sprankle, Alyssa Skorge, and Jada Reedus went 1-2-4-6. Lexa Barrott won her first meet of her career on Friday afternoon with a time of 17:36.6. Sprankle crossed in a time of 17:49.6. Skorge came in fourth in a time of 18:20.1. Reedus nabbed seventh and finished in a time of 18:29.8. Maria Anderson rounded out the Hoosiers running unattached with a time of 20:22.1 to place 35th.
On the men's side, Keelan Grant won his first meet of his career with a time of 24:50.2. Hunter Moore clinched third in a time of 24:57.0. Aaron Bennett finished in the top-10 with a sixth place finish and a time of 25:36.9. Ben Miller was the next Hoosier to cross as he finished in 13th with a time of 26:09.7.
Running unattached, Austin Haskett picked up second and clocked a time of 24:51.3. Ethan Meyer ran a time of 25:44.7 to place seventh. R.J. O'Neal nabbed ninth in a time of 25:54.0. Reece Proctor rounded out the field in 26th with a time of 26:38.3.
Up next, the Hoosiers will embark on their postseason efforts at the Big Ten Conference Championships in Columbus, Ohio. The men's 8k race will commence at 10:45a followed by the women's race 11:45a.
