Indiana Set to Face Some of Nation’s Best at Illini Women’s Invitational at Medinah

MEDINAH, Ill. – Indiana Women's Golf continues its fall slate with a trip to the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah. The first round will tee off as a shotgun start on Monday at 9:30 a.m. ET. Round two will follow immediately with the final 18 holes beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m. ET.

• The Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah welcomes the nation's top teams to the famed Medinah Country Club. Founded in the 1920s, the club is one of the most prominent private country clubs in the country located just 25 miles west of the city, in the Chicago suburbs. The famous course No. 3 has hosted numerous major championships and prestigious international golf events. The club is home to several premier events including the 2015 U.S. Amateur. Medinah Country Club has hosted the Ryder Cup (2012), three U.S. Opens, two PGA Championships, and three Western Opens among other high-level tournaments.
• Including the Hoosiers, nine teams ranked in the top 50 of this week's Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings will participate in the event. This includes four in top 22 – No. 4 Kent State, No. 13 Mississippi and No. 22 Illinois.

In this week's Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings, the Hoosiers came in at No. 48 with a rating of 72.44.
Returning Experience
Between Parsons, Schmid, Miestowski, Aung and Eisenhut, the group has combined for 207 rounds, in addition to Pierre's 61. Parsons is the most experienced of the group with 63 rounds over the last three seasons.
Parson's Outing in Madison
Mary Parsons was impressing during the team's two rounds of stroke play at the East-West Match Play last time out. She finished tied for third a 3-under-par. In 36 holes, she carded six birdies and an eagle.
Eisenhut Continues Freshman Debut
Eisenhut turned in her low round in the second round of the East-West Match Play stroke portion. After shooting an 82 on the first 18, she rebounced to card a 73 in the final round.
Tournament #1 Recap - Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational
The Hoosiers opened the season Sept. 9-10 at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. As a team, Indiana finished in seventh place. Priscilla Schmid tied for second place, finishing 7-under-par. For her efforts, Schmid earned Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Week accolades.
Tournament #2 Recap – East-West Match Play
In the two rounds of stroke play action, the Hoosiers tied for fourth place. Mary Parsons led the way as she tied for third place after shooting 3-under-par. Due to a tiebreaker, the team was awarded the fifth seed for one day of match play. The Hoosiers defeated Iowa, 4-1-0 in the lone match play round.
