
No. 4 Indiana, No. 16 Kentucky Play to 0-0 Draw

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 4 Indiana men's soccer team (7-1-3) played 110 minutes of scoreless soccer against the No. 16 Kentucky Wildcats (6-1-3). The ranked opponents drew 0-0 in double overtime at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium on Wednesday night.
KEY MOMENTS
• Freshman keeper Roman Celentano recorded the first of four saves at the 20-minute mark of the first half. The shot proved to be the first threatening opportunity for the Wildcats. Celentano closed the door on the visiting team all night as he defended the UK set pieces brilliantly.
• Indiana's best chance in the second frame came in the 60th minute of play. The Hoosiers swung in a corner kick that found junior A.J. Palazzolo, but his shot fell just wide of the net.
• Kentucky came out aggressively in the first overtime period with five shots coming in the opening minute. The IU defense stood tall as Celentano recorded a save and the backline added a block during the onslaught.
• Junior Spencer Glass tried his luck twice in the final overtime period. His first shot, in the 106th minute, was saved by Kentucky, while his final effort fell wide of the frame in the 109th minute.

• Indiana holds a 25-2-4 lead over Kentucky and have outscored UK by a tally of 98-17 in the series. The Hoosiers now sit 14-1-2 at home against the Wildcats.
• The result leaves the Hoosiers unbeaten in the last 32 home matches played at Jerry Yeagley Field. The undefeated streak dates back to a 2-1 loss to No. 20 Virginia Tech in overtime on Nov. 27, 2016.
• Indiana is 40-5-8 in the team's last 53 matches contested against non-conference opponents dating back through the 2014 campaign.
• After a five-match stretch of regulation finishes, the Hoosiers needed overtime to gain a result against the Wildcats. IU started the season with five-straight overtime matches.
• IU is 3-0-3 in overtime matches. Each of the last three overtime matches played by Indiana have ended in a draw.
